I have always love painting portraits - finding the nuances in the expression and the character in the face is a great way to celebrate the essence of a loved one. I believe that the spaces that we live our lives in can become very meaningful to us, and they serve as the backdrop for every important event we’ve ever had. The way that color and light play over the scale of these structures makes for a powerful image.
